YouTube announces K-pop’s Top 10 subscribed channels and most viewed music videos in 2017, outside of Korea.
YouTube has revealed the international statistics for the most popular K-pop music videos and YouTube channels subscribed. The ranking of the most viewed K-pop music videos outside of Korea from November 24th, 2016 through November 23rd, 2017, were listed.
At the top of the list stands BLACKPINK‘s “As If It’s Your Last“, which was placed No.8 in Korea, while BTS‘s “DNA“, “Not Today” and “Spring Day” took No.2, No.3 and No.5 positions, respectively. TWICE‘s two tracks made it to the Top 10 with “Knock Knock” at No. 4 and “Signal” at No.6 position, which came first and second in Korea. BIGBANG‘s “FXXT IT” took No.7 spot. EXO‘s Chanyeol and Punch‘s “Stay with Me” placed No.8. EXO‘s “Ko Ko Bop” took the No.9 spot and PSY‘s “New Face” stands at No.10.
YouTube also unveiled the Top 10 channels with the most increase in subscriptions for this year, outside of Korea.
iBigHit, the official channel of BTS’s management company Big Hit Entertainment, took the No.1 position. ibighit gained 66% of their subscribers this year, out of which 96% were subscribers from outside Korea.
The individual artist channel also gained huge amount of subscribers this year with YG Entertainment’s BLACKPINK at No.2, BIGBANG taking the No.6 position, PSY at the No. 7 spot, KARD at No.9 with more than 98% of their total subscriptions being from 2017 and GOT7 taking No.10 spot.
Music channel 1theK place No.3, followed by SM Entertainment‘s channel at No.5 and JYP Entertainment‘s channel at No.5 position. CJ E&M Music‘s channel held the No.8 spot.
