The agency is determined to firmly deny all rumors involving women artists who are under the label of YG. And announced that it will take strong measures against the rumors.
Rumors began following a scandal over filming made by hidden cameras involving singer Jung Joon Young. The case ended up naming several female artists in the entertainment industry such as Twice and Blackpink. But the agencies JYP and YG are positioning themselves publicly in order to protect their artists.
On February 19, YG had already stated, “For persistent malicious comments aiming at the artists of our company, we are collecting documents and conducting the procedures to conduct drastic legal countermeasures.”
On March 13, YG Entertainment stated, “As reported in many announcements, recently, the spreading rumors that are related to our company’s female artists are absolutely not true, all are just false malicious rumors.”

Although these rumors are not worth concerning, real names of the female artists have been mentioned in discussion papers, we declare that we will take tough response based on civil and criminal legal action against those who started the rumors, as well as spreading and distributing those rumors.
