BTS have opened the doors to their unfiltered off-stage life, with a YouTube Red Original documentary series!

On March 14th, Big Hit Entertainment announced that BTS‘s documentary series “BTS: Burn the Stage” will air exclusively on YouTube Red. The series will consist of eight episodes in total, with the first two being released on March 28th at 12:00 a.m. KST. And as the tagline says, the fans will get to watch BTS “Burn the stage. Watch the band ignite the world.” 

This original YouTube Red series will portray BTS’s lavish on-stage performances as well as their struggles behind-the-scenes, where they grow and learn with unstoppable efforts. For “BTS: Burn The Stage,” the entire staff and crew filmed the members as they went on their “2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings Tour,” for 300 days.

The series will reveal the never-seen-before unfiltered backstage scenes, with members expressing their true feelings. It will give the viewers a deeper look into the ups and downs that they go through in the process of achieving their endeavors and becoming the global artists that they are now and how the members build a strong bond within the group by overcoming all their difficulties.

The series also includes the group’s historic journey from receiving the Top Social Artist award at the “2017 Billboard Music Awards” to their historic performance at the “2017 American Music Awards,” as well as the story behind scenes.

Nadine Zylstra, the YouTube APAC head also stated, “We are excited to show BTS’s real documentaries through YouTube Red, to all the ARMYs around the world. Since YouTube has been with BTS to help spread their music worldwide, we are glad to work together and release the stories of growth of the global syndrome BTS.

An official from Big Hit Entertainment shared, “‘Burn The Stage’ is the documentary series that will take you through BTS’s successful world tour on-stage performances, as well as show you their truthful and human side, where the members go through hard times, struggle off-stage, run into and resolve conflicts behind the scenes. We hope to fully deliver the sincerity of BTS to the fans as well as the regular audiences, through this series.”

The series which consists of a total of eight episodes, will be first revealed on March 28th at 12:00 a.m. KST, releasing both Ep. 1 and Ep. 2. Furthermore, starting from Ep. 2, it will only be available to YouTube Red members, which implies that it might be possible that the first episode will be available to all. With the release of an episode per week, the last Ep. 8 will be aired on May 9th at 12:00 a.m. KST.

BTS has also included [in the YT video description box] a special YouTube Red subscription offer with an extended 2-months free trail, valid only in South Korea and the US between March 14th and April 14th. Currently YouTube Red is only available in South Korea, United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Mexico, but users from other countries will be able to purchase the series on Google Play or on YouTube.
