BTS has been making K-pop history, setting new records! After the release of BTS’ most awaited mini album “LOVE YOURSELF 承: Her” it has gained an overwhelming response which has translated to an incredible debut on iTunes charts worldwide. BTS has conquered the No.1 spot with “LOVE YOURSELF 承: Her” on iTunes chart across 73 countries.
The groups mini album “LOVE YOURSELF 承: Her” along with the title track “DNA” MV was released on Sept 18th (6:00 PM KST) and as on Sept 19th (6:00 am KST) “LOVE YOURSELF 承: Her” has taken the No. 1 spot on iTunes Top album charts across 73 countries, which is the highest number ever for a K-pop artist.
The regions include the United States, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Côte d’Ivoire, Ecuador, El Salvador, Estonia, Ethiopia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Laos, Latvia, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Mexico, Myanmar, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Palestine, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, and Vietnam.
In addition, BTS’ title track “DNA” came in first in 29 regions on the iTunes Top Songs chart including Argentina, Belize, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Chile, El Salvador, Estonia, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Laos, Lithuania, Malaysia, Norway, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Singapore, Slovenia, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, and Vietnam.
BTS also broke their previous record of taking No.8 position on Top Songs in United States with “Spring Day“, with “DNA” which sits at No.4 spot on iTunes Top Songs chart in the United States. Along with that BTS also broke the existing K-pop record for the highest combined sales in a day on Hanteo, which counts to 263.8 K.
BTS has successfully gained new fans from all around the world, which is clearly visible with all the new records being set. “DNA” MV recently set a new record for being the fastest K-pop group MV to reach 10 million views and “DNA” also topped realtime charts in Korea while scoring an All-Kill on Korea’s largest music streaming sites-Melon charts.
